Moreton island

I can’t think of a better way to start off a new blog than sharing a family trip we did to Mulgumpin (Moreton Island) in July 2022. We headed off to the island on a Monday, which is my usual strategy to score the place uncrowded. On this particular trip we camped in the North Point camp ground in the Motop Rooftop tent (on top of the Troopy) and an Oztent RV5. The North Point campground ended up being a great choice with the kids as it features a toilet block close by, lots of grass and to top it off we were the only people there.

This was a trip filled with many highs and a few lows thrown in to make us really appreciate the highs. We scored mostly epic weather with one rainy day thrown in for good measure. We managed to make the most of the island while fighting off a nasty dose of Covid 19. Highlights of the trip was definitely checking out some whales close to shore, followed by some epic days at Honeymoon Bay.

If you’re chasing a nice print from Moreton Island for the wall of your home or office, you can find a selection of prints here.

If you want to see more from this trip I’ll chuck up part one and two of the series from the Youtube channel below.
